Ileana is a senior executive, one of the pioneers of the Romanian capital market with an experience in this field for over 27 years. Ileana was part of the team that set up the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) and since 1995, she works on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. She has a rich experience in the corporate field, activating at the BSE as secretary general of the company, managing the activity of admission to trading of the companies on the main market of the Stock Exchange and of the intermediaries to trading, the company's shareholder activity, the marketing activity, the communication and international relations specific to this field, as well as corporate governance. She currently coordinates the admission to trading on BVB markets and also one major project developed by Bucharest Stock Exchange for financial education — “Fluent in Finance” program.
Ileana’s education background is in finance & law. She also graduated a Romanian-Canadian MBA - specialized in Finance and is a NAC certified trainer. She is actively involved in volunteer activities as VP of Independent Directors’ Association and member of the Romanian Financial-Banking Analysts Association & Financial-Banking System Legal Advisors’ Association. Currently she is enrolled as a PhD student at the University of Economic Studies in Bucharest with a paper on corporate governance. She was also a member of ASEMER (Association of Spanish Companies in Romania), which she represented in the Coalition for the Development of Romania in the Financial Markets and Corporate Governance Task Force.
Ileana is a member of PWN Romania since January 2016.
